Research on Explosive Welding of HARDOX 500/Q235B Wear-resistant Cladding Material

  • With Q235 B as the cladding plate, HARDOX 500 plate as the base metal and the plane bonding interface as the criterion, a good combination between HARDOX 500 and Q235 B plates has achieved. The bonding properties and the application performances could meet the designing requirements. The results of metallographic observation show that adiabatic shear band is the immanent cause for the macro brittle fracture of HARDOX 500/Q235 B cladding material.
