The Weld Bead Dimensional Prediction of Wire and Arc Additive Manufacture for Ship Steel

  • The weld bead dimension has a direct influence on the forming accuracy of WAAM component. The regression analysis was adopted to predict weld bead width and height of CMT. The results showed that the maximum absolute errors of width and height (|δ|max) predicted by regression analysis were 0.16 mm and 0.17 mm respectively, and both were within the controllable ranges. This analysis method could provide data reference for WAAM of ship steel CMT. In addition, the regression equations could predict the influencing trend of a asingle factor on the weld bead dimension effectively.
