Influencing Factors and Parameters Optimization of Cold Push-bending for Copper Alloy Elbow

  • The cold push-bending simulation for copper alloy elbow was established based on the finite element software Deform-3 D and 3 D modeling software. The effects of fraction coefficient, interval between the mould cavity and the core pin and pushing velocity were investigated. The finite element simulation was conducted by orthogonal experiment design method; the range analysis was adopted to determine the effects of the primary and secondary factors. The results showed that the cold push-bending elbow could obtain a better formation quality when the fraction coefficient was 0.05 mm, the interval between the mould cavity and the core pin was 0.75 mm, and the pushing velocity is 4 mm/s. And the parameters were confirmed by actual production.
