Research Status of Electron Beam Welding Technology for Large Thickness Titanium Alloy

  • The research status in electron beam welding (EBW) of large thickness titanium alloy are reviewed in the paper, mainly involving the mechanism and characteristics of EBW, joint forming and defect control, microstructure and properties, and residual stress distribution. Some urgent problems needing solving are pointed out. The future research on the EBW of large thickness titanium alloy is prospected.
