Preparation and Characterization of Silver Nanoparticles

Silver nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal method with AgNO₃ and NaHCO₃ as raw materials, and PVP as protecting agent. The effects of concentration of AgNO₃ and addition of PEG on the morphl logies of silver nanoparticles were studied. The result showed when the concentrations of AgNO₃, NaHCO₃, PVP and PEG were 0.06 mol/L, 0.15 mol/L, 0.03 mol/L and 0.05 mol/L, the reaction lasted 4 hrs at 200℃, 50 nm-uniformly sized good dispersity could be obtained.
