Relationship Analysis of Crack Arrest Property and Conventional Mechanical Properties of High Strength Steel

  • Fifteen troops of crack arrest temperature CAT and tensile strength Rm, nil-ductility transition temperature NDT, ductile-brittle transition temperature ETT50, ductile-brittle transition parameter k and thickness t of high strength plates were analyzed. The relationship formula of CAT and Rm, NDT, Ceq, k and lnkt2 was proposed based on the above results:(1) CAT=2.88·NDT-0.002 4·Rm·NDT + 0.138·kt2; (2) CAT=388.5·Ceq-0.21·Rm-0.006·lnkt2.
