Abstract
Corrosion and galvanic corrosion behaviors of HAl67-2.5 and H62 marine copper alloys were systemically investigated through electrochemical analysis, immersion test in artificial sea water and galvanic corrosion experiment. The results showed that the electrochemical corrosion properties of the two polished copper alloys were similar. The corrosion rate of the HAl67-2.5 alloy was significantly lower than that of the H62 alloy in artificial sea water, and both of the alloys were sensitive to crivice corrosion. Moreover, galvanic corrosion occured when the two copper alloys connected to each other in corrosive medium, resulting in an accelerated corrosion of H62 alloy acted as the anode and a decreased corrosion rate of HAl67-2.5 alloy as the cathode.
