Study on Self-polishing Antifouling Paint Based on Zinc Acrylate Copolymers with Low Drag Property

  • Zinc acrylate copolymers with low surface roughness was designed and synthesized by methacrylic acid. Its reaction process were also analyzed by IR-Online and the reaction technique was confirmed by the conversion rate of monomers and the acid value of resin. Besides, the good antifouling and low drag performances of the paints were further confirmed by the immersion test, copper ion leaching test and drag test.
