Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties of Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics Plate Strengthened by Prestressing

  • The static mechanical properties, fatigue properties, stress relaxation and temperature adaptability of CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastics) plates reinforced by prestressing were studied. The results showed that the selected 80 mm × 3 mm CFRP plates had good static mechanical properties, excellent fatigue properties, low stress relaxation rate and thermal expansion coefficient and strong temperature adaptability, which could fully meet the technical requirements for pre-stressing reinforcement in bridge engineering.
