Research Progress in Friction Stir Welding of Copper and Copper Alloys

  • The research progress in friction stir welding of copper and copper alloys are reviewed mainly from perspectives of the tool material selection, design of tool geometry, division of microstructural zone, grain structure and mechanical properties of joints. Some urgent problems to be solved are revealed, and the further research direction of friction stir welding of copper and its alloys is prospected.
