Development of Seamless Flux Cored Submerged Arc Welding Wire for High Strength Steel With Yield Strength Grade of 690 MPa

  • By means of adding carbonates, fluorides and alloying elements, a kind of seamless flux cored submerged arc welding wire with ultralow diffusible hydrogen was developed with the independently developed equipment. The welding process was good when the wire was applied with the fluorine alkali type sintering flux SRSJ613. The diffusible hydrogen content in the deposited metal was 2.13 ml/100 g. The average impact value of the deposited metal was more than 100 J at-40 ℃, and had no cracks when bended. The wire can be used for the welding of important structures in such fields as ship construction, offshore engineering and engineering machinery.
