  • Here were introduced the principle and characteristics of laser welding, comprehensively discussed the basic research work carried out for the realization of laser welding of titanium alloy according to the three typical problems of laser welding of titanium alloy, and then summarized the research progress and application of laser welding of titanium alloy from the aspects of microstructure and properties, residual stress and deformation of welding joint and application examples, which would provide reference for welding research and application.
