Analysis on Cracks in Cold Rolled Titanium Coil

The typical crack defects of cold-rolled titanium coil were statistically classified here. Through the methods of chemical analysis, energy spectrum analysis, electron microscope scanning, hardness test and metallographic observation, the causes of the defects were revealed. The results showed that the high element contents of Fe, O and N in the base of titanium could can possibly lead to crack defects in cold rolled titanium coil.
