Abstract
Carbon fiber composites play an important role in the field of ships with the advantages of light weight, high strength, fatigue resistance and convenient molding. Giving full play to the property advantages of the composite materials in the design can reduce the weight of ship main engine base. In this study, the measured values of material parameters of SR-JXT-740, SR-JLT-742 and SR-JTT-779 are obtained through experimental tests. Taking the measured results as the input parameters of finite element analysis, the influences of different fabrics and their number of layers on the strength and impedance of ship main engine base are studied. On this basis, the optimized stacking design is obtained. Under the condition that the structural strength and impedance are basically the same as the original stacking(SR-JTT-779×5), the optimized stacking scheme of SR-JXT-740 ×4+SR-JLT-742×3 is obtained, which can reduce the weight of ship main engine base of carbon fiber composite materials by 30%.
