The Bonding Propriety of the Explode-Rolled Ti/Steel Clad Metal

  • Explode-Rolled is a kind of method used for the manufacture of the clad metal,in which blanks are made first by the exploding,and then rolled into thin clad plate.In this article,the interface metallographs of the explode-rolled Ti/steel clad plate,the distribution of the elements on the interface and the effect of annealed temperature and the time on the bonding strength were investigated.The results showed that the interface of the explode-rolled Ti/steel clad plate was straight,there was a layer of ferrite on the steel of the interface which has important effect on the bonding strength of the clad metal,the high bolding strength could be obtained only when the content of Ti element on steel layer of the interface in cretin scope,the annealed temperature has considerable influence on the bonding strength,but the annealed time has little influence.
