Research Progress of Mussel Adhesive Proteins and its Derivatives Dopamine

  • Mussel adhesive protein contains a lot of dopa which makes it unique moisture resistant adhesive properties. It can be adhered to almost all of the material surface including tetrafluoroeethylene. So it has become a hotspot of bio-adhesive research. The research progress of mussel adhesive proteins and its derivatives dopamine were reviewed, and the prospect of its application in medicine, anti-corrosion, anti-fouling were forecasted.
