  • Polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) coupled with the molecule structure of organic-inorganic hybrid and inorganic framework of internal Si-O-Si bond composition were surrounded by external organic group. It's molecular structure can be designed and controled and was widely used in various fields. This paper reviewed research progress of POSS in recent years from domestic to abroad, especially the synthesis of functionalized POSS and its application in modifying epoxy resin, and the development trend was discussed.
