Study on the Influencing Factors in the Forming Process of Arc Additive Manufacturing

  • Arc additive manufacturing was carried out by using Ti6321 A wire, and effects of welding torch poses and swing parameters on the forming were investigated. The results show that the welding torch angle has a significant effect on the formation of additive manufacturing by push welding. With the pose of welding torch changing from pushing to pulling, the weld width gets smaller and the weld reinforcement becomes higher, indicating that the weld surface spreading ability has declined; the weld penetration reaches the maximum value when the torch is vertical. The swinging of welding torch will present the surface with lines, the width between which is determined by the length of the pendulum, and the weld width has a linear growth with the swing width.
