The Corrosion Situation and Cathodic Protection of Underground Gas Pipeline in Chongqing

The physical and chemical properties of soil around the Touma gas pipeline network of Chongqing city were measured and analyzed, the soil environment's corrosiveness around the pipeline was determined. Cathodic protection by using single anode buried close to the pipeline was applied to protect the network. The results of protection show that the electric potential is stabilized and the effect is contented.
