In this paper,the microstructure of acicular ferrite in deposited metal are analyzed by means of TEM and covering solid wire technology.The results show that the acicular ferrite with basket-weave morphology consists of the ferrite laths in parallel packets which appear as a 90-deg interlocking pattern. With the increase of Ni content(from 1.90% to 2.49%) and decrease of Cr content(from 1.1% to 0.8%),the fraction of the acicular ferrite with basket-weave morphology increases in deposited metal.
