Intergranular Corrosion Cause Analysis of Incoloy825

  • Difference between two batches of alloy Incoloy825 in intergranular corrosion performance is investigated.The mircrostructure observation manifests that it is TiC preupitated in crystal boundary brought a worse intergranular corrosion performance.In order to ensure the resistance intergranular corrosion performance,repeated deformation at TiC precipitation temperature is necessary in hot forming process to make TiC dispersed in the austenitic grains.
