Crack Study and Failure Criterion in Bending Fatigue Test of Crankshaft

  • Based on the fatigue crack, propagation and experimental research, analysis the relationship between the fatigue crack propagation and fatigue life combining with the fatigue test data. Experimental results and analysis show that, spheroidal graphite iron crankshaft with the fillet rolling strengthening occur cracks at pin fillet after ten million cycles. This crack is the non propagating crack. So this specimen is not failure in the load.
