  • A strain of oil degrading bacteria was isolated from Qingdao oil polluted marine by liquid culture ond streaking oil plate. The crude oil degradation rate of oil 2-3 was 88.73%. The strain of oil 2-3 was identified as Thalassospira sp. based on the blast sequence analysis of 16 S rDNA and its morphological features. The strain of oil 2-3 could multiply and degrade oil with the oil concentration of up to or higher than 20 g/L and the salinity range of 5‰~35‰. The optimal pH range was 7~10. This strain of bacteria had good performance in oil degrading and environmental adaption, and could be applied into bioremediation of oil spill.
