Research on Bandwidth Expansion Method of Radar Absorbing Structure Based on Embedded Metasurface

  • A bandwidth enhancement method of radar absorbing structure based on embedded cross-shaped metasurface is presented and verified by simulation and experiment. The influence of change of the cross-shaped unit parameter on the absorbing performance of the structural material is simulated, and the cause of the resonance is analyzed through the surface current of the cross pattern. The simulation results show that an absorption peak at 16.6 Ghz is added when the metasurface embedded in the radar absorbing structure, and the maximum absorption peak value reaches-33.4 dB. The absorbing bandwidth is expanded when the thickness and surface density of the radar absorbing structure remain unchanged.
