Effects of Heat-treatment on the Microstructure and Mechanical Property of Ti-Al-Zr-Fe Alloy

  • By doing mechanical property tests and optical microscope and TEM observation, the effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical property of near-α titanium alloy were studied. As a result, the heat treatment process affect little on the strength, but much on the plasticity, and it can modulize the plasticity. With TEM, the influnence of the shape and distribution of the precipitate on plasticity was studied.
