Influence of C,Cu and Cr on the Mechanical Property of SAW 10CrNiCu Steel Welds

  • Four kinds of submerged arc wires with different chemical composition were designed for the submerged arc welding of a ship steel 10CrNiCu and the influence of C、Cu and Cr on the mechanical property of 10CrNiCu steel joints welded with the wires and sintered flux was investigated.The result indicates that the elements of C、Cu can rectify the content and crystal grain size of acicular ferrite and proeutectoid ferrite,thus improve the strength and toughness of the weld metal,and Cr makes the strength improved and the toughness reduced.
