Microstructure and Properties of the Polynary Coatings Co-diffused on Martensitic Valve Steel

  • Al-Cr binary layers and Al-Cr-Ce ternary layers coatings have been deposited on the surface of martensitic valve steel 4Cr10Si2Mo by solid powder method.The microstructure of the coatings and the element distribution in the coatings were characterized by using XRD and EDS,and their microhardness value was detected from surface layer to the substrate.The result indicated that the Al-Cr binary diffusing layers have a thickness of 350μm and a micro hardness about 580Hv,the Al-Cr-Ce ternary diffusing layers present a thickness of 420μm and a micro hardness about 500Hv.
