  • Taking the worm teeth,modulus and diameter coefficients as design variables,the minimum volume of the incomplete worm as a design goal,a mathematical model of worm gear's optimal design is set up.Optimization analysis is conducted by using the application optimization toolbox in MATLAB.And finite element analysis of static characteristics for the design is performed to,check the strength and stiffness of the incomplete worm.
