Study on the Dispersed Phases of Al-Mg-Mn Aluminum Alloy

  • The microstructures of 5A30 aluminum alloy was systematically studied in this paper.It was showed that the typical dispersed particles were a kind of element Mn-rich phases including Al6Mn and Al4Mn,rather than β(Al3Mg2) phase as known usually.There are indeed a few of β precipitation particulates in the alloy and their morphologies are apparently different with those of the Mn-rich phases.
