Study on High Temperature Mechanical Properties and Softening Behavior of Al2O3 Dispersion Strengthened Copper Alloy Rod

  • High temperature mechanical properties of three kinds of Al2O3 dispersion strengthened copper alloy rods-ODS15, ODS20 and ODS60-at 650 ℃ for 1 min and 15 min were studied. Softening temperatures indicated by hardness, yield strength and tensile strength of ODS60 rod were determined according to ISO 5182. The results show that high temperature tensile strength of the three kinds of ODS copper alloy rods at 650 ℃ for 1 min agrees with that for 15 min, and high temperature strength increases with the increasing of Al2O3content; softening temperatures of ODS60 indicated by hardness, yield strength and tensile strength are 970 ℃, 950~960 ℃ and 960~970 ℃, respectively.
