Abstract
The light weight constraint damping structure with carbon fibre composite has been manufactured by using co-curing process. The interfacial strength and vibration damping performance has been test by 180° peel strength and vibration performance test, further using SEM testing observed interfacial microstructure. According to the test result, this damping structure with carbon fibre composite showed to having a tight coupling in damping layer and constraing layer interface, which showed to a peel strength approaching 5 k N/m and more than 19 d B vibration reduction, and exceed 50% weight loss, have preferable application value.
