Analysis on Crack of Flash Butt Weldment of 0Cr21Ni14Mn5Mo2N Stainless Steel

  • Cracks in the crown of anchor chain in the process of flash butt welding of 0Cr21Ni14Mn5Mo2 N stainless steel were investigated through optical microscope and SEM analysis.Resultsshowed that overburning of the steel due to large heat input and tensile stress transformed from the compressive stress during the process of flash butt welding contributed to the appearance of the cracks.
