  • At the beginning of pure titanium melting by electron beam cold hearth melting furnace,the composition of cold hearth skull surface will have an influence on the composition of the ingot.That will cause the fluctuation of mechanical property of rolled products by EB slab.To avoid the deviation of composition at the bottom of ingot,the controlling technology of the skull melting bath depth and liquid level at the beginning of melting have been investigated.The study result is also useful for the melting of other metals and alloys by cold hearth melting furnace.
