Experimental Research on the Nozzle of C/C Composites with SiC Coating

  • In watery oxidation stress erosion environment, C/C composites with SiC coating nozzles were experimented under different temperature (630-1 200℃) and duration (10-60 s). The results show that the C/C composite nozzle can endure fifty temperature shock, which life is dozens of minutes, and the high temperature duration have no obvious effects on the life, but repeatedly thermal shock and stress erosion are the primary cause to make the nozzle destroy, and the destruction is developed slowly, so the material is safe.
